WELCOME
On January 5, 2006 we opened West Taylor Elementary
School. This school
is located in the western end of Taylor County on Meadland Road off of
Route 50.
Hepzibah and Pruntytown Elementary Schools closed to
form West Taylor Elementary School. It consists of pre-school, kindergarten,
first, second, third, and fourth grades. We have an art and music
room, media center (library), computer lab, and special education rooms.
In addition, the building has a gym, a cafeteria with a kitchen complex,
administrative offices, and other rooms for support services.
The grounds outside the school will be used for soccer, basketball, football and baseball games. A playground with equipment will be used during the school day.
Our vision is to provide a child-centered environment that will enable all students to become successful, active learners and enjoy learning. Our students will be exposed to a dynamic curriculum with highly trained teachers to lead them to success.
If you would like to read our 5 Year Strategic Plan, please come to the school office and ask the secretary or principal to see it. It will not only tell you how good our test scores are, but it will state the goals and objectives we will be working towards during the school year. We are proud to say we have made AYP on our WESTEST and WESTEST II scores every year! "Together We Shine"
