VALLEY HEAD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Valley Head Elementary School is a small school nestled at the head of the beautiful Tygart Valley. Approximately nine miles from snowshoe,One of the largest ski resorts on the east coast. With a relatively small enrollment our student to teacher ratio is approximately 20/1. Our school is a multiage school with both primary and Intermediate grades as well as a full time kindergarten and Evenstart program. We emphasize the whole school environment by utilizing school-wide thematic units. We are a Title One school-wide project school and offer not only regular instruction but also a summer camp for all of our students. Our School also is involved with The Lightspan corporation working for greater student progress through its take home program.
