The vision of Third Ward Elementary is to guide each student to develop to his or her fullest potential and to become a responsible citizen of today’s world.

The purpose of the staff of Third Ward Elementary School is to provide a learning environment where a child is guided toward the kind of life skills and directions that enable him or her to develop as a reasoning, self-disciplined member of a democratic society.

1.      Ninety-five percent (95%) of the students in grades 3-5 participate in the State Tests and insure continued individual Academic Average Yearly Progress (AYP).

2.      Provide for a Safe Schools Environment.

3.      Assess the needs of teachers and classes with high-risk students and design services that best help to promote academic success for all students involved.
