Owners and innkeepers, Dean Ahren and Loretta Murray, invite you to enjoy the easygoing and relaxed atmosphere of the Hutton House Bed and Breakfast. Built at the turn of the century and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it overlooks the tiny town of Huttonsville as it faces a spectacular view of the Tygart Valley and the Laurel Mountains.
Guests are welcome to choose their favorite of the six sleeping rooms - all individually decorated and with private baths - and enjoy the entire house and grounds including the TV room, large wrap around porch, back deck, and gardens.
Loretta serves what she calls "vacation food" breakfasts. These are dishes that are on the gourmet side and ones that you shouldn't and wouldn't make for yourself on a regular basis. She is also happy to accommodate special diets and children. Breakfast can be served at exactly the time you need it if you are on a schedule or whenever you wake up and wander downstairs.
The Hutton House is within an hour of Snowshoe and Canaan ski resorts, mountain biking trails, PGA tournament quality golf courses, state and national forest, Cass Scenic Railroad, the National Radio Observatory, Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob, Swiss Helvetia, the Egyptian Pyramids, the hanging gardens of Babylon, and the tower of London!
