MISSION

    Flemington Elementary School serves students in grades kindergarten through the fourth grade.
Currently about 125 students are enrolled.  The school houses a collaborative Head Start program that serves three and four year olds, and also a community outreach center, Starting Points.

    The school has been recognized by the West Virginia Department of Education for academic achievement.  Flemington Elementary School has been named a West Virginia Exemplary School four times, and it is recognized as a National Title I Distinguished School.

    All three elementary schools in Taylor County work together to provide a uniform curriculum.  The Balanced Literacy Program is the core of our language arts, and Everyday Math is the foundation for meeting math standards.  Title I is a school - wide program that assists students in reading and math. Three days a week, World Vision provides an after school program. Students get help with homework, enrichment  and physcial activites as well as an afternoon snack.
