about the history of the S.W.A.T. teams and the issues that the founder,
Lucy Miller-Ganfield, is hoping to address through the implementation of
these groups. What S.W.A.T. Leaders are Saying Find out what others are doing in their S.W.A.T. teams and how students and teachers all around the U.S. are using S.W.A.T. to further technology education. We currently are sponsoring 4 crews of students on the S.W.A.T. team. We meet on Wednesday and Friday during AA. The Team sponsor is Mrs. Frenzel. 1. System Maintenance Crew- these students will rotate through the classrooms and the computers labs doing general system maintenance chores such as disk clean up, virus update, spyware removal. 2. The Mobile Maintenance Crew - these students are responsible for the sign in cards in all the labs, the hallway bulletin board, cleaning the labs, and other general maintenance issues. 3. Computer Buddies - these students act as peer tutors for other students. They work one-on-one with students using software programs available at BMS. 4. Around BMS - these students are responsible for the creation of the Channel 7 announcements. They create PowerPoint presentations that include daily lunch menus, birthdays, game schedules and other information. This plays continually on Channel 7 around the building.
