The Adamston Black Diamond Girl Scout Troop #4172 has been very busy since September. The leaders: Hope Dotson, Debbie Burr, and Jennifer Waggamon have the girls involved in many activities that include service to the community. Our banner looked very nice when we marched in the Salem "Apple Butter Festival" parade. The colorful "Veteran Badges" were completed and delivered to the V.A. Hospital to place on the veteran's trays to show how much they are remembered. Many arts and crafts are completed during our meetings which are held on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. The cookie sale began on January 12. Our troop plans to sell over 2,100 boxes.
In February, each girl will keep a "log" on how one takes care of a pet. Also, the troop will be visiting WBOY TV station. Our fun continues! If you would like to join, please contact one of the leaders mentioned above through the school.
