D.A.R.E. is a Drug Abuse Resistance Education Program sponsored by the Clarksburg City Police Department and the Harrison County Board of Education targeting fifth graders.  Officer Thomas presents lessons to the students for seventeen weeks.  Lessons teach children strategies that  will help them to say "No" to drugs.  When the lessons are completed, the students attend a graduation ceremony and read essays summarizing what they have learned.  The students look forward to Officer Thomas' visits!
